Do you feel like your body isn’t good enough?

Growing up, I struggled with food and body image, generalized anxiety and my ADHD brain (which I have since learned to love and appreciate!) When it came to both my brain and body, I felt “other.” My relationship with food growing up was complicated. I loved food but often felt guilty and ashamed for enjoying food as much as I did. My ADHD caused my brain to seek out dopamine through food, which created even more shame. I used food as a way to cope with my anxiety, boredom, sadness, loneliness and so on.

I also grew up in the 90s where fad diets were everywhere. I had an idea of what I thought my body should look like and I spent so many wasted years trying to achieve an unattainable standard of beauty. What started as innocent dieting and a desire to shrink my body size turned into full blown disordered eating and orthorexia that deeply impacted my relationships, physical and mental health and quality of life. My disordered eating eventually went from restricting to binging. I felt a total loss of control around food and frustrated that even as a dietetic student (soon to be dietitian), I didn’t have food figured out.

I felt like a fraud.

When I first heard about Intuitive Eating (IE), I thought the concept was interesting but I didn’t think it applied to me. It was the opposite of everything I’d learned. I was skeptical whether I could actually ever feel in control around food without micromanaging what I was eating. As I started to take a deep dive into IE and applying it to my life, I recognized that it was diet culture and dieting that had failed me.

I was not a failure and you are not a failure.

Our bodies are simply trying to protect us.

However, I now have the tools to navigate the food policing and critical thoughts that once ran my life. I can get curious without judgement.

I’ve replaced self criticism with self-compassion and finally found the food freedom I was searching for my entire life and I want to help you achieve that too.

You will not be prescribed weight loss, meal plans and portion guides.

Transform your relationship with food and body by working on mindset and mind/body connection using my Intuitive Eating and weight-inclusive approach.

You deserve to feel free.
