An affirmation, or a mantra, is often a positive phrase that can help help ground you or challenge an unhelpful or negative thought. Affirmations can be helpful during a challenging food or body image day. The way we feel about ourselves impacts the way we talk to ourselves, which impacts the way we treat ourselves.

1) I trust myself to listen to my body

2) This meal doesn’t have to be perfect

3) I can do hard things

4) I will never please everyone and that is ok

5) I choose self-care over self-control
